The Pegasus 

The directors of the Ford Custom Car Caravan were so impressed with the design and execution of the restyled 1965 Mustang fastback, they approached the owners Gerald and Merle Taggart and "leased" the car from them on the spot so that it could be displayed as part of the third and final Ford Custom Car Caravan. The Jack Florence-built custom was a tour-de-force that borrowed many ideas from the prototype Mustang designs (especially the taillights).  Check out this photo narrative of the car in its finished condition. We'll post additional pictures in the future. Many thanks are extended to Wolfgang Kohrn for alerting the Custom Clinic to the fact this car still exists! The Pegasus also appears in the "Rare Finds" column in a recent issue of Mustang and Fords. The Custom Clinic has many more photos of the car as restoration is underway, and we'll post them soon!
