After completing the Predicta, Starbird built the incredible Forcasta based upon a 1960 Corvair. He stripped the body from the tiny Corvair and scratchbuilt the wild, futuristic body atop that unibody. The car was widely covered in the media (see the bibliography later). The sad thing is that the car was, in the opinion of the Custom Clinic, destroyed when it was restyled probably in the 1964-65 era. A midwest shop eliminated Starbird's crisp, symmetrical styling for a utterly forgettable, and very trendy, offset styling that was appalling. After that, the car disappeared for many years and appeared in yet another guise that was even worse – if that's possible, and it is! – than the second version. Recently, the custom clinic has acquired a series of photos that will trace the styling decline of this car.

The Custom Clinic hopes that Darryl Starbird will clone the car as he built it.
